You can boost your life only when you shift your mindset from a worrying state to a contentment state. As worry can drag you to the dark well of dissatisfaction
On Sunday, in November, on the 10th day, “Ruditya” was a one-month-old baby then. We will never forget that day when the Doctor informed me, my wife, and my Mother-In-Law that he was detected with Jaundice and had to stay a minimum of 2 days more to get him cured. Hospital nurses attended to him immediately and got him cured. We were advised to take good care of him after that.
From that day, the day when he was released from the hospital that many issues and troubles are faced, but we tried our best to face it boldly in that span of 1 month’s time.
We performed pooja and yagna on the 11th of November and prayed for his well-being and asked for a blessing from God for our new journey of Life i.e. Parenthood. Here I am sharing some pictures of the occasion.
Puja or pooja is a prayer ritual performed in the morning by Hindus to offer devotional worship to one or more deities, to host and honour a guest, or to spiritually celebrate an event. It honours or celebrates the presence of a special guest(s), or their memories after they die.
In Hindu practise, puja is done on various occasions, frequency and settings. It includes a daily puja done in the home, or occasional temple ceremonies and annual festivals. In other cases, puja is held to mark a few lifetime events such as the birth of a baby or a wedding, or to begin a new venture.
The two main areas where puja is performed are in home and at temples to mark certain stages of life, events or festivals such as Durga Puja and Lakshmi Puja.
Puja is not mandatory in Hinduism. It is a routine daily affair for some Hindus, periodic ritual for some, and rare for other Hindus. In some temples, various pujas are performed daily at various times of the day; in other temples, it is occasional.
Yajna literally means “sacrifice, devotion, worship, offering”. In Hinduism, it is referred to any ritual done in front of a sacred fire, with mantras.
Yajna has been a Vedic tradition, described in a Vedic literature called Brahmanas, as well as Yajurveda.
The tradition has evolved from offering oblations and libations into sacred fire to symbolic offerings in the presence of sacred fire (Agni).
